Description:

The Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging Technology Program (NMMIT) is a joint educational program offered through the University of Toronto and The Michener Institute of Education at UHN. The program is designed using hybrid delivery of course curriculum, which gives students a well-balanced approach to learning by participating in both online and in-person educational experiences with instructors, peers and clinical educators.

    Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Technology is a second entry program - you must have at least one year of university education to apply. If you have a Master's or PhD, your undergraduate courses will still be reviewed, as the prerequisites ensure that each student has the background necessary to be successful in the program. Applicants are required to have one semester course (0.5 credit) in each of the following subjects: Biology, Mathematics (Calculus), Physics and a Social Science; a minimum of one full year (5 credit) in a recognized university with a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of B-; and Grade 12 U-level Chemistry (previously OAC Chemistry).     Application Notes : Because all lectures, seminars and clinical laboratory sessions and activities are conducted in English, it is essential that students have an adequate knowledge of written and spoken English. Applicants for whom English is a second language must provide proof of an English language assessment. The following tests and scores are acceptable proof of English facility: TOEFL (UofT Institution code 0982-00 and Michener Institution code 0323-00) - (a) Internet-based test, minimum requirement is a total score of 100 + 22 on Writing section, (b) Computer-based test, minimum requirement is a total score of 250 + 5.0 on Essay, (c) Paper-based test, minimum requirement is a total score of 600 + 5.0 on TWE; IELTS - minimum requirement is an overall band of 6.5 with no band below 6.0; MELAB - minimum requirement is an overall score of 85, with no part score below 80; or COPE - minimum requirement is an overall score of 86, with 32 in Writing, and 22 in each of Reading and Listening.
